In Case You Missed It: Stand Together Chairman and CEO Brian Hooks named to the NonProfit Times “Power and Influence Top 50” List

The NonProfit Times has named Stand Together’s Brian Hooks to its 2023 “Power and Influence Top 50” list, which recognizes the top executives working in the nonprofit sector.
NonProfit Times Vice President and Editorial Director Paul Clolery told the 2023 honorees, “With challenges coming from every angle — the economy, fundraising, equity, government, regulators — it is your innovation that keeps the U.S. nonprofit sector evolving and a beacon of hope or the world.”
The NonProfit Times said the individuals on its list exhibit innovation and influence on the broader nonprofit sector and have developed replicable organizational models. The recognition by The NonProfit Times comes two years after Hooks was named to the TIME100 Next list, which features leaders shaping their fields’ future.
As Stand Together’s chairman and CEO, Hooks leads an organization that works with more than 700 business leaders and philanthropists to empower people to realize their unique potential. Hooks also serves as chairman of the Stand Together Foundation, president of the Charles Koch Foundation, and on the boards of the Mercatus Center, Institute for Humane Studies, Reason Foundation, and the Just Trust.
The NonProfit Times has recognized the philanthropic sector’s top executives for the last 26 years. Previous recipients of this honor include World Food Kitchen Founder José Andrés, Giving Tuesday Co-Founder and CEO Asha Curran, and Bill Gates of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
