Coalfield also incubates and invests in local social enterprises, helping to launch more than 50 new businesses. Code Girls United teaches technical and socioemotional skills to young girls in rural and tribal communities through free, after-school STEM programs. With computer science and entrepreneurship as the primary focuses, girls are empowered to realize their full potential in male-dominated fields while cultivating self-confidence in their abilities.

Code2College addresses the STEM opportunity gap by preparing historically underestimated high school students — predominantly Black, Latinx , or female — to enter life-changing summer internships in software engineering, IT and other technical fields before entering college.
