Cares of Washington’s mission is to support people with disabilities and low income to realize their purpose, potential, and strength. Cares combines career coaching, financial skills education, vocational and educational training, support services, and job placement into a cohesive plan for each client, mitigating barriers to employment and maximizing each person’s potential for independence. Cares firmly believes that it is simply not enough to just help someone find a job, any job. The organization emphasizes jobs with career pathways and the potential for advancement, benefits, and living wages for every client who walks through the door.

Catholic Charities Fort Worth is an enterprising nonprofit with a belief that ending poverty is possible. Its diverse services, poverty solutions, and income-generating social enterprises help tens of thousands in the 28-county diocese each year, most of whom are living in poverty. The organization strives to break the cycle of poverty by finding effective, research-backed programs and putting proposed solutions to poverty to the test.

The Center for Community Transformation leverages the assets of the faith community to address the most significant economic, physical, and spiritual challenges in Fresno, California. The Center for Community Transformation catalyzes faith-based economic development models that work in impoverished contexts, partners with local churches to provide financial coaching to their neighbors living on low incomes, and trains budding entrepreneurs through its microenterprise incubator to help people achieve their full potential.

Cincinnati Works partners with a variety of regional employers to solve a range of workforce needs, filling open positions with quality candidates, retaining employees, supporting second-chance hires, and developing potential leaders. Cincinnati Works assists individuals in strengthening soft skills and building financial acumen to gain valuable career experience.

Citizen University works to support Americans nationwide to practice powerful, responsible citizenship rooted in civic participation and commitment to ideals. In order to strengthen our fragile democracy, Citizen University equips and empowers catalytic individuals and organizations around the country to build a stronger civic culture in their communities and to rebuild faith in one another and our democracy.

Create Common Good aims to provide a place of safety and empowerment for those seeking a fresh start. Through food service skills training and job placement assistance, CCG supports individuals facing employment barriers as they work to gain new skills and achieve self-sufficiency. Through in-prison programs, CCG supports incarcerated individuals as they build employable skills before release. Recognizing food service industry labor shortages — and that formerly incarcerated people are often passed over for job opportunities — CCG makes second-chance hiring a mutually beneficial business strategy.
