Meet the Stand Together community team

Adam Peshek is Senior Fellow at Stand Together Trust where he focuses on education policy. Prior to joining STT, Peshek spent eight years with ExcelinEd, including managing policy director. In this role, Peshek provided strategic support to state leaders interested in developing and implementing policies that expanded educational options for children. He also served as vice president of advocacy, directing the organization’s advocacy efforts with governors, state legislatures and departments of education, and other stakeholders.

Lisa Snell serves as Senior Fellow, Education at Stand Together Trust. Prior to joining STT, Snell served as the director of education and child welfare at the Reason Foundation where she oversaw research and outreach on school choice and school finance reform efforts. She has testified before the California state legislature and has authored policy studies on school finance and weighted student funding, universal preschool, school violence, charter schools and child advocacy centers.

Grant is vice president of foundational education for Stand Together, where he oversees the community’s K-12 education strategy. Previously, he served as vice president of government affairs for yes. every kid. and oversaw the organization’s lobbying capability. As chief of staff for the Nevada Treasurer’s Office, Grant was instrumental in promoting a culture of saving for college and implementing the state’s ESA program. After representing the Treasurer’s Office through the landmark court ruling establishing the constitutionality of the Nevada ESA program, he has become a thought leader on the creation, development, and implementation of ESA programs.

At yes. every kid., Craig oversees efforts across the U.S. to build coalitions, direct education, influence campaigns, and mobilize grassroots advocacy to shape education policy that is open to the free flow of ideas and innovation. He has over a decade of experience in education policy and spent significant time pioneering legislative efforts for private companies Tesla and Uber. While serving as chief of staff in the Nevada Assembly, Craig helped usher in notable education reforms, including universal ESAs, tax credit scholarships for private schools, and the creation of an achievement school district.

Derek is a veteran of the Stand Together community and now serves as the president of Stand Together Trust, which partners with social entrepreneurs who develop bottom-up solutions to America’s most pressing problems through transformative public policy, research, technology, and unconventional models. He has served in leadership positions for more than a decade within the Stand Together community at both Stand Together Trust and the Charles Koch Foundation.

Andrew is Executive Director of yes. every kid. foundation, where he drives public awareness of a better education experience. Most recently, he helped found yes. every kid. and now serves as its President. Andrew is a skilled lobbyist and political tactician and has worked to unite diverse coalitions to transform policy on a broad range of issues. A veteran of the Stand Together community, he was State Director of Americans for Prosperity-Arizona, Executive Director for Generation Opportunity, and Product Manager for i360, a political technology firm.

Haley is an investment officer for K-12 education at Stand Together Trust where she develops, evaluates, and manages a portfolio of programmatic and thought leadership investments. Prior, she was a program officer for higher education philanthropy at the Charles Koch Foundation, where she partnered with university professors and graduate students on academic research grants. Haley has also been a program manager at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, where she worked with state and local chambers to implement K-12 programs.
