Houston Responds builds coalitions of local churches capable of responding to and meeting the needs of their communities after disasters. These local coalitions also focus on addressing long-term, chronic issues that plague their communities. Houston Responds provides an adviser and framework to its champion churches and guides them in the creation of a church coalition that tackles issues such as homelessness, crime, strained racial relations, economic mobility, and the like. Numerous coalitions have been formed, enabling dozens of local churches to purposefully unify and strengthen their communities.

Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison enables New York State inmates to change their lives by bringing top college coursework to their correctional facilities.
