HANDY (Helping Abused Neglected Disadvantaged Youth) provides individualized life coaching and employment opportunities to neglected youth to help them discover their unique gifts and realize their own version of success. HANDY’s family-like support system empowers youth as they transition into a postsecondary environment and adulthood, providing customized programs focused on education, youth development, and economic self-sufficiency. HANDY transforms the traditional casework approach from adult-led to youth-led, enabling participants to take their future into their own hands.

HealthCorps addresses the root causes of unhealthy habits in adolescence, particularly in vulnerable communities, by equipping teens with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to make informed health choices. Through engaging, evidence-based wellness programs, HealthCorps empowers young people to improve their mental, physical, and community health. By fostering this change, teens become advocates for healthier behaviors in their own lives and within their families, schools, and communities.

Hello Neighbor supports recently resettled refugee and immigrant families by connecting them with local community members who provide housing, food, employment services, and educational support. Focused on long-term solutions, Hello Neighbor helps families build stable lives and integrate into their new communities. In addition to their work in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Hello Neighbor leads a national network of nonprofits, sharing resources and best practices to serve refugees and immigrants across the country.

Heroes Academy helps young students develop their sense of purpose by exposing them to a variety of cultural experiences through the “Hero” mentorship program. Heroes Academy encourages mentees to dream big and change the trajectory of their lives.

Hit the Books offers out-of-school time, year-round educational programs, mentorship, and mixed martial arts classes for children in underserved communities in Harlem, New York, to promote holistic wellness and physical, emotional, and intellectual growth. Using martial arts as the hook, Hit the Books creates a community centered on students’ needs and their journey of self-discovery to achieve better long-term outcomes.

Homestretch empowers families with children experiencing homelessness to attain permanent housing and self-sufficiency by offering the skills, knowledge, and hope they need to become productive participants in the community. Its unique model places families in housing solutions intermixed into neighborhoods and specifically targets families with children under 18. The aim is to surround families with vigorous support so they can address multiple barriers in their path and make progress toward their goals.

Hope Center pairs resources with educational opportunities to ensure individuals in Chicagoland are equipped to meet their own needs while giving back to the community. With a focus on technology, agriculture, arts, and auto mechanics, Hope Center leverages the gifts and talents of those in the community, equips others with resources to learn, and turns the services and products they provide to serve the community at hand in a virtuous cycle of mutual benefit.

Hope for Justice is working to end modern slavery through community-informed antitrafficking programs. The organization helps families and vulnerable people protect themselves against traffickers, trains front-line workers to spot signs of trafficking, collaborates with law enforcement to conduct investigations and rescue victims, and provides holistic care to survivors.

Hope for Prisoners provides incarcerated individuals with the tools, resources, and connections to overcome barriers to successful reentry. One of the most transformative components of its comprehensive program pairs police and ex-offenders where officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department mentor former inmates, helping them to set and achieve their goals. During this process, both people learn about each other’s lives, breaking down walls, forming mutual understanding, and building compassion.
