LIBRE–Ohio hosts affordability roundtable with Sen. Husted.
Near Cleveland, more than a dozen constituents learned from the senator about policies that could lower costs for Ohioans.
Nearly 40% of Ohio households struggle to make ends meet amid a growing cost-of-living and housing affordability squeeze. That figure jumps to over 50% for Latino families.
That challenge was at the center of the Cuyahoga County roundtable hosted by The LIBRE Initiative, Americans for Prosperity, and Concerned Veterans for America, featuring U.S. Sen. Jon Husted (center).
More than a dozen constituents joined to discuss everything from taxes and housing costs to energy and health care reforms.
One piece of legislation covered all those topics: the One Big Beautiful Bill.
During the roundtable, Sen. Husted highlighted several cost-saving features of the landmark bill.
“Great for small businesses, great for businesses to do more investments in Ohio … plus we cut taxes on Social Security, no taxes on overtime, no taxes on tips.”
His constituents walked away with a new understanding of the legislation and other policies to improve their quality of life.
Why it matters: The One Big Beautiful Bill was a historic accomplishment of this Congress, and no matter who is in office next year, activists will be hard at work to advocate for good legislation that can help unlock the American Dream for all.
Separately, LIBRE Action activists are connecting voters to Sen. Husted’s record of supporting good legislation like the One Big Beautiful Bill.

When Lair shared how the historic tax cuts would save Ohioans $1,500 annually and that Sen. Husted voted for the bill, Mrs. De Ramirez decided she would vote to re-elect him.
LIBRE Action’s team is persuading the most influential swing voters in key U.S. Senate races to vote for the best candidates, including Mike Rogers in Michigan and Michael Whatley in North Carolina.
