In Case You Missed It: FIA Formula 1 US Grand Prix – More Than Racing, A Gateway to Purposeful Careers

This year’s FIA Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix at Austin’s Circuit of the Americas spotlighted the unsung heroes of motorsport: technicians, engineers, and more.

In collaboration with the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), Stand Together, and the Make It Movement, three Austin high school students – Stella, Marshall, and Madison – received an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at the massive event, which drew more than 400,000 people. Chosen through a video contest highlighting their career aspirations, the students were introduced to the vast career opportunities within the motorsports arena.

Roy Spence, founder of the Make It Movement, emphasized the importance of showcasing diverse paths to success. “Finding both your purpose and a successful career doesn’t have to be a separate journey. When young Texans are presented with the wealth of opportunities in career pathways, their minds are blown! We’re grateful to the FIA team for giving these high schoolers exposure to careers where they can realize their gifts-–and the experience of a lifetime,” he said. Initiatives like these can reshape nationwide perceptions about career trajectories.

This collaboration signifies more than just a race; it’s about shaping the future of the next generation, emphasizing the value and opportunities in diverse career avenues.
