In their first collaboration, Beast Philanthropy and Stand Together illustrate what happens when educators are empowered to build classrooms where fun, creativity, and, yes, even singing and dancing are celebrated. Beast Philanthropy is a nonprofit organization founded by MrBeast, the world’s top YouTube creator.
Beast Philanthropy and Stand Together share the belief that the goal of education is not only to teach arithmetic and grammar. It should be to unlock something magical in each learner — unique interests, a sense of self-worth, and the gifts that, when honed and deployed, will set a child on a path toward a fulfilling life.
The Ron Clark Academy (RCA) exemplifies this belief by creating engaging, fun classrooms — complete with flying dragons, Harry Potter-style houses, and lots of singing — that ensure the magic of learning captivates students and helps them discover their full potential.
In addition to operating a school, RCA has trained more than 100,000 educators from across the United States who now have the tools to reinvigorate the K-12 education system in their communities. Beast Philanthropy filmed hundreds of teachers from across the country who Stand Together helped bring to RCA’s training.
“The students here have autonomy, so they’re able to be themselves and that is something that I love being able to take back,” visiting teacher Michele Pisciottano says in the video.
Individualized education programs recognize the dignity of every learner
Beast Philanthropy Executive Director Darren Margolias says his organization became interested in RCA because the educators there believe in every student's potential and teach children how to believe in themselves too.
“Stand Together believes exactly the same thing that we do: that when a person believes in themselves, they will accomplish things that they never dreamed that they would be able to,” Margolias says. “The Ron Clark Academy helps these kids uncover their true talents, and their true potential, so that they can transform their lives and use their talents and potential to help lift others and help them achieve their best too.”
RCA empowers their students with a family environment where learners, parents, and teachers work together and cultivate students who will be leaders and driven to make an impact on the lives of others.
“The test scores are great,” says Ron Clark, the visionary educator behind RCA. “But really, we just want to make great people who love others and want to use their talents to make a difference in the lives of the people that they’re around.”
