The COVID-19 pandemic set off chaos around the world, and individuals and institutions worked to do their part to hinder the spread. Forbes magazine has recognized a few of those philanthropists for their generous contributions to lessen the impact of the virus and to help fight long-term challenges like poverty and climate change. Their article about America's 25 most generous givers includes Stand Together Founder Charles Koch and other major faces of philanthropy such as Bill and Melinda Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Dr. Priscilla Chan, and Warren Buffett. Forbes has recognized Charles for a total lifetime giving of $1.3 billion to support efforts mainly spearheaded by Stand Together, the Charles Koch Foundation, and Stand Together Foundation to combat poverty and to drive major reforms for criminal justice and education.
